TradeZella Updates

We know how important it is to build confidence and solid conviction in your strategy, especially if you're just starting out.

Backtesting is the most reliable way to know if your strategy has the legs to succeed in the live markets.

We don't want you stumbling forward and second-guessing your way.

That's why this month, we were all about supercharging our platform with Futures Backtesting, along with other powerful functionalities and improvements to give you a clear view of the path ahead.

Here's what's new:

Futures Backtesting

We heard you! Now, you can select a futures symbol, go back in time, trade and track your setups and strategies, and repeat the process to refine your approach.

NEW: Futures Backtesting on TradeZella

We kicked off with the launch of these futures symbols and micro contracts:

  • ES, NQ, YM, CL, RTY, GC
  • Micro Contracts: MES, MNQ, MCL, MYM, MGC, & M2K

How far can you backtest these, you ask? Here you go:

  • For futures symbols (ES, NQ, YM, RTY, CL), you can backtest as far back as Jan 2014.
  • For micro futures symbols (MES, MNQ, MYM, M2K), you can backtest as far back as May 2019.
  • For MCL, you can backtest starting from July 2021.

We’re working on adding more, so let us know what you want to see next!

Quick Buy/Sell Button

Sometimes you just need to sell as quickly as possible, we get it. With the new quick buy/sell button, you only need one click to execute.

Simply input the position quantity and hit buy or sell.

Backtesting UI Refresh

We realized adjusting simple parameters like time and date felt too tedious. We added a dropdown menu to simplify the process for you.

More Powerful Improvements

  • Automatically switch order type in backtesting if the user selects the wrong order type. Watch the help view here.
  • Added a minor pause when switching timeframes in backtesting to enhance performance
  • Added hints when hovering over the position management buttons in backtesting

If our new launches help you become even 1% better today, we've done our job. We're rooting for you. 😌

Happy trading,

TradeZella team
