This week, we had the pleasure of chatting with KanoTrades, a consistent trader of nearly 4 years and active TradeZella member.

Kano has been sharing his TradeZella dashboard daily on Twitter- both wins and losses.

Let's check in with Kano and hear more about his experience with trading.

The Journey

So it all started in July 2019.

Kano opened his first account, and though trial and error, not journaling, and the typical beginner mistakes, blew his first account by the end of the year. 🥶

It happens to the best of us, Kano! All part of the learning curve. 🙌

After some reflection, Kano came back to start 2020 off with a bang by re-funding his account.

The difference this time? 🤔

He joined a few trading communities and began journaling his strengths and weaknesses. 📝

In other words, Kano started to take his trading seriously. 👏

Success doesn't happen overnight, though. 👀

From January to October, strategies were tested, mistakes were addressed, and learning took place...

November marked the first month when Kano began to see the light at the end of the tunnel: Consistency. 😮✅

By the end of the year, Kano was able to pull around $7k from the markets. Great first year trading! 👏

2021 rolls around....

With an adjustment to discipline, Kano was able to zero in on what worked for him, scale up, and rake in over 6 figures. 😎

Talk about a glow up!

It's amazing what's possible when we set our minds to something. 🧠

Biggest Mistakes

Kano mentioned that along his journey, he was able to point out some gaping holes in his trading activities.

One of them was bag holding trades and hoping for them to turn out profitable. 🚩

He put his head down, made adjustments, and now this mistake doesn't weigh him down any longer. 👍

The next mistake Kano has been working on is emotional and revenge trading. 👀

We can all relate.

This is something that is almost always present in the very back of a traders mind. What separates us is how we deal with it.

What's ahead?

Kano's goal this year are grander than just trading goals.

He explained that this means going to the gym regularly, eating healthy, not procrastinating, and continuing to cut out costly trading mistakes from the past. ☝😌

At the moment, Kano is fully zeroed in on trading. 🎯

He wants to master it and eventually hit a 7 figure trading goal.

In the distant future, Kano would like to look into real estate investing and flipping as well.
